Homepage is up 0

After a long time, spent analyzing various options and wasting a lot of time, I finally created a front page for my website. It is now active on http://www.prashu.com. I have tried it keep it simple, while at the same time offering some functionality to the visitors.

Still not quite satisfied with the end result. I will tune it and make changes as and when I feel necessary and as and when I get feedback from the visitors.

So if you have had a look at the main page, please do drop me your feedback and suggestions. Thanks. :)

Website goes online 0

I finally took my site online just now. It was offline for the good part of the last 3 months while I set up Drupal and tried to get the design right. But I was wasting too much time on that without progressing anywhere ahead. So V and I decided that we will just get the site online and then I will get around to tweaking it to my likes.

Bringing up a site 0

I’ve been working on this site for almost a month now. I decided that I will use drupal for managing the content on my site and not get overwhelmed by the amount of configuration and features that this CMS has.

Of course, that is easy to say and hard to actually do. I’ve spent hours on configuring various aspects of this site and then suddenly I would decide to do things in a different way and out goes all the effort that I had put in until then.

My Life, My Journeys 1

I’ve been wanting to start a travelogue since quite some time. I wanted to put it up on my LJ since long, but never really got the mood to do it.

Recently I read a travelogue of my SIL(sis-in-law) and was pretty impressed with the pages of logs that she had typed out. Even my wifey has up-to-date travelogues of her Germany and China trips. Being inspired by these two, I think I should actually records my travel experiences before I forget any interesting detail.

Learning C# 0

Decided that I would get back to learning and programming apart from what I do at office. At office I work on ABAP and this being a proprietary language I only learn what I work on and what I need to know to make my modules work. There is nothing really great or "out of the box" in what I am doing. So I have to make the time to learn something different and even practise what I learn to keep in touch.
