Though I really don’t go gaga over the presentations made by Steve Jobs, I do agree that he is a very successful presenter.
- Firstly, I feel that he repeats too often and uses the same ‘wow’ words over and over again. Maybe it is just me, but although I find it irritating, I am sure that the repetitive use of these words and phrases are made so that they drill the fact into the listeners mind.
- Secondly, I feel that he is not very connected to the audience. He walks around trying to appear casual, but keeps such a straight face that it appears that he is trying to pull words out of something that he has mugged up.
- Finally, no doubt that Jobs is a great presenter, but the most important thing about his presentations is that his products sell themselves and he just has to lay out the red carpet for his products.
Anyway, the video below is definitely a good learning and give you certain points that you should indeed keep in mind when you are giving a presentation. Just bring out your own style of presentation delivery instead of copying what Jobs does. What works for him might not work for you.
