Selling off my Maruti 800

M800

This is more of an advertisement than a blog post, but read on. :)

I’ve decided to upgrade to a newer and bigger car and I am keen on selling of my current car. Its a Maruti 800 that has served me real well over the last 2 years.

As far as the Details goes here they are

Model: Maruti Suzuki 800 A/C
Year of Manufacture: March 2005
Mileage run: 17500 KMs
Ownership: Second (I bought it when it had run 9900 KMs)
Year of Purchase: June 2007

Expected Price: ~1,45,000 (negotiable a little bit)

History: Absolutely no accidents and no insurance claims. Minimal scratches and paint is in pristine condition.

Others:
1) New Exide battery less than 1 year old with warranty card
2) 3M underbody anti-corrosion treatment done this year with warranty card
3) Complete rat proofing done under bonnet
4) Autocop car security system with keyless entry (remote)
5) Dark tints on all windows except front windshield
6) Rear parcel tray

The car drives brilliantly. I’ve driven and been driven in at least 5 other 800s belonging to my friends and the smoothness and drive of this car beats all the others hands down. I am proud of the way this car has been maintained and till date I have not registered even a single major complaint(such as engine or gearbox) on the car. Once a year I do complete detailing of the car(waxing and polishing) at the service center.

If you are really interested in the car, do post a comment below with your email address(it is mandatory when you write a comment) and I will get back to you. I have already spoken to Dealers and if I don’t close this within the next 10 days I will sell it to a used car dealer. So if you are interested in the car, do get back to me.

Again, to entertain only serious buyers here are some further details. On the rear door, at the left corner the paint has lost its shine(probably due to exposure to sun), and on the bonnet some roadside kids have scratched some markings. I have not re-painted this since I don’t want it to be seen as repaint due to accident. Re-painting costs Rs 3000 as I found out and you can do this yourself  if you would like. Otherwise there is no damage and I have also got it professionally inspected and I have been told the car is in extremely good condition.

Again, do post a comment below if you are really really interested in making a purchase after having a look at the car.

  5. dude. It looks like its in pristine condition.

What car are you planning to buy?

Have you tried to get your car valued at “maruti true value” ?

I found it to be one of the most reliable ways of selling off my car and they gave me a good deal.

When I sold my 800, it was over 10 years old. I dont remember clearly, but I think it went for 65000 +20000 bonus because I was buying a new maruti.

Call them, get your car valued and see.

    cheers!

  6. Condition is awesome da. Not only externally, but also the engine and gearbox are in sooper condition. I checked with true value, but obviously they have their margins, so it will do me good if I can get a better deal.

I am planning for a Vista. I was not too attracted to it at first, but after the TD, the Fiat engine and gearbox had me totally Fida over the car.

  7. Now that I’m remembering, most people were offering 5-10k more than true value. That was a big deal for my car. The 20000 exchange bonus was the clincher.

I never looked up the specs, but from what I’ve seen on the road, Vista’s build quality is definitely much better than other Tata cars.

From what you describe, the Vista sounds good. The more refined the vehicle, the more fun it is to drive!

Stumbled upon this post totally by accident, but not all accidents hurt. :)

I suggest you go through http://www.team-bhp.com/forum for excellent inputs on what car to choose, and to consider/reconsider your decision. Vista is a good car no doubt, but I suggest you go through the site nevertheless.

  11. Hey, I am a member out there on team-bhp, since a very long time. Actually I was the one not too keen on Vista, but the TBHPians convinced me to go for it. Once I took it for a test drive I was totally fida on the car. :)
