Flash-back: Had been to Coorg sometime last month or the previous month. I think it was the last weekend of March. 25th, 26th and 27th. We left on thursday night (24th) and reached there at 5am on Friday.
Spent the 3 days there going to talacauvery, bhagamandala, a bee hivery, abbey falls, rajah’s seat, omkareshwara temple, dubara forest, nisargadhama, golden monastry, ranganathittu and then back home.
It was a great trip.
I started off at 9pm on 24th from my house. Joji had come to pick me up from a bus stop near my house and I had come there all packed and my parents accompanied me to the bus stop. We went to Joji’s house and there we waited till Karthik had left his house, with the qualis that we had booked for the 4 days, and come near JP Nagar. We then went to the pick up point and waited till the qualis came. Karthik, Anuroop and Chaitanya were already there. Joji and I settled down in to the back seat and we went to Uttams house. We picked him up and were on the way to Madikeri with 2 stops on the way. Saw some accidents on the way. Toppled trucks mostly. We went to the hotel and after a half hour wait we got our room.
After a bath and relaxing we had breakfast of rice pooris and went to talacauvery which was flooded by females. Spent some time admiring the scenery and the went to bhagamandala which was total waste of time. We then went to a hivery on the way back and took a walk in to the dense forest which had some cardamom crops. Then we went to abbey falls. It was almost closing time so we had to leave there in a hurry. We managed to catch a glimpse of the sunset in raja’s seat. We were just in time for it. Then we went to omkareshwara temple and saw some amazing babes there. Power also went so we were sitting in the moonlight for sometime. It was awesome. We next went to a chinese joint and had dinner and went back to sleep in our rooms.
Next day we went to Dubara forest which had an elephant lodge. But we missed the elephant interaction camp. So we just played with a young elephant and went to nisargadhama. Did some boating there and took a look at the deer. Climbed a tree house and sat there for some time also. Spent a lot of time in the water and rocks just chilling out. We next went to the golden monastry which just rocked. The sight was just too awesome. We spent a few hours there and didnt want to go back home at all. Tranquilizing serenity. But somehow we got out of there and did some shopping on the way back. Had dinner and went to sleep.
The third day we decided that we’ll go to Dubara for the elephant interaction camp. We managed to reach there just in time after we managed to delay ourselves in the morning. We watched the elephants bathing and some of them even feeded the elephants. Then we took a ride on them and left the place. We had planned to go to nagarhole but we heard that it had been closed due to threats of forest fires. So we decided to go to ranganathittu on the way back. We went there and had a nice boat ride and caught glimpses of quite a few crocodiles.
We returned straight home from there all beat up and tired. It was a good night’s sleep after explaining what we did to my parents and then it was back to office the next day.
